The Learjet 31 is a development of the Learjet 35 and learjet 36 and was launched 1990. The 8 passenger Learjet 31 was one of the first Lear products to emerge since Learjet became a subsidiary of Bombardier. The Learjet 31 incorporates the same fuselage and TFE 731-2-2B engines as the Learjet 35 and Learjet 36, however, it includes several aerodynamic improvements. Variants of the Learjet 31 have included the Learjet 31A (with a Bendix King Electronic Flight Information System and TFE731-2-3Bs) and the Learjet 31A/ER with extended range.
