Today is the 98th Anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force (RAF). Since its creation in 1918 the RAF has operated many famous aircraft types from the Sopwith Camel to the Supermarine Spitfire. Less illustrious are the bulk of aircraft derived from civilian counterparts that support frontline activities of which business aircraft are particularly popular. Current examples of this include the Beechcraft King Air (for Training and “Shadow” surveillance) and the Bombardier Global Express (for “Sentinel” duties).
Allaero’s involvement with the RAF came through our support of the Hawker Siddeley (latterly British Aerospace) 125. Between 1965 and 2015 the RAF operated the 125 in various versions from the Dominie T1 (Training) to the CC1, CC2 and CC3 (Ministerial transport).
We are proud that our support of the Hawker 125 over the past 30 years has made a contribution in keep these aircraft serviceable and hope to be of assistance with the current Beechcraft King Air and Bombardier Global Express in the future.
