The Bell JetRanger has become, over the past 40 years, the corporate helicopter. It was developed from an unsuccessful contender for the United States Army for the Light Observation Helicopter. The first flight of a 206A was made on the 10th January 1966 with deliveries following that year. By 1971 The Model 206B with an uprated Allison 250-C20 Engine, was launched, followed in 1977 by the definitive JetRanger III with an Allison 250C20B and a larger improved tail rotor. Following the JetRanger derivatives, Bell launched in 1975 the stretched 206L LongRanger with seating for seven. This continues in production today. Also, and not to be confused with the visually similar JetRanger, is the Bell 417 which features a Honeywell HTS9000 turboshaft engine and four bladed prop. Allaero have an inventory of Bell 206 parts and hardware together with avionics.
