The Challenger 601 is a derivative of Canadair’s first business jet, the Challenger 600. It was developed as a response to demands for improved performance and featured winglets and improved General Electric GE CF34-1A engines. This first production aircraft were produced in the early 1980’s with a typical seating arrangement of 9 – 19 seats and a range of over 3000 miles.
