The Citation 560 family encompasses a number a separate models. The first was the Citation V being a stretch of the Citation II Bravo to allow a full 8 seat cabin and enclosed toilet/vanity area. The CitationUltra followed featuring more powerful JT15D5D engines and Honeywell Primus 1000 EFIS avionics.
In 1998 the Citation Encore with PW535 engines was announced with improvements including a revised undercarriage and increased fuel payload, updated interior, improved systems and significantly a partially swept wing.
The Cessna Excel was a homogenization of existing designs using a shortened Citation X fuselage and PW545A engines. There have been two derivatives of the Citation Excel, the Citation XLS with uprated PW545B engines and the Citation XLS+ which featured PW545C engines, Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics and a redesigned nose.
