Today is the 18th anniversary of the first flight of the Beechcraft Premier. Despite being announced by Raytheon aircraft in 1994 a protracted development programme resulting from its pioneering all-composite carbon fibre/epoxy honeycomb fuselage delayed FAA approval until March 2001. What was to eventually emerge was a very light, very fast aircraft with a 13% increase in internal cabin space as the result of abandoning traditional metal construction.
The Premier came in two models. From 2001-2005 the Premier 1 was produced before the improved Premier 1A began production in 2005. The new model having a new cabin interior (similar to the Hawker 400XP/850XP) and improved systems. Production would cease in October 2012 when the 297th aircraft was completed.
Despite this relatively short production period Allaero are committed to the supply of Beechcraft Premier parts and have invested heavily in having one of the largest stocks outside the manufacturer. Such items include Premier windshields, wheels brakes and all Beechcraft Premier systems.
